The day started sunny again after a windy, lumpy, sloping night. It stayed sunny for most of the day but with quite a strong NW wind which kept the temperature down to good walking levels.
Down the hill to Melrose past a new carved bench to a café for second breakfast.Along the River Tweed then to Galashiels where a few supplies and a third breakfast were had at Tesco's.Over Hog Hill and back to the Tweed before starting the climb to the Three Brethren.The three brethren |

The three cairns, known as the Three Brethren, were built in the 16th century to mark the boundary of the the Yair, Philliphaugh and Selkirk lands
