Day sixty three - Northop Hall to Frodsham

 2nd May.

A dull morning but it brightened up to a sunny afternoon again.

On the way to Connah's Quay
A B road with footpath to Connah's Quay and breakfast.

Over the old lifting bridge, that obviously has not lifted for many years, and onto the Chester Millennium Greenway.

As the name would suggest this is an old railway line that goes all the way to the centre of Chester.

Crossing back into England on the way.

The A56 out of Chester was busy but again there is a footpath. Lunch in Bridge Trafford then turned onto the North Cheshire Way after Dunham-on-the-hill, a very pretty village.

Dunham-on-the-hill

A good footpath with some fine views over the Mersey and a lovely spot to sit in the sun and contemplate nature, and have a nap!

Ancient oak tree

21 miles walked 400 meters ascent.
