12th May.
It was a day of low cloud and a cold northerly wind on the top but sunny lower down and it stayed dry.
Looking back to Horton in Ribblesdale |
There is little to say about today's walk except that there were some great views of the rolling Pennine countryside.
I passed the Bavarian couple, who I won't see again as they are taking a rest day in Hawes.Ling Gill was an interesting deep gorge, couldn't get a decent photo looking down, too many trees.
The river above it and the little bridge were picturesque though.
As I got closer and higher to Dodds Fell it was into the cloud until descending to Hawes.Hawes appeared to be thriving with everything necessary available.14 miles walked 600 meters ascent.
