Day eighty one - Mozie Law to Kirk Yethholm

 20th May.

A bright sunny morning after a dry night and the day stayed warm and sunny.

A beautiful walk today with great but hazy views over the Cheviots.
There was no water on the ridge at all but I had eaten and drunk well in the morning.
The ridge has a lot of up and down and a detour to The Cheviot which was an easy walk, no pack, but it is a rather boring peat plateau with no view.
The Cheviot
This way continues down then up to The Schil before begining the final descent to Kirk Yethholm.
Over a last Pennine Way style.
Before joining the road to Kirk Yethholm.
A final steep climb over the ridge an the village was there with its welcoming pub.

After claiming my free half pint and collecting a certificate for Pennine Way completion I was whisked away to Kelso by my daughter and her husband.

16.5 miles walked 800 meters ascent.
