Sligachan
A bus trip today to Skye where I will start my extended TGO Challenge.

It was a beautiful morning but rather misty at Burghead with a haar rolling in from the sea as I got on the bus to Elgin. I had plenty of time to go to Boots and get a baby toothpaste and shower gel as the next bus would have missed the connection to Inverness by a few minutes. After a short wait at Inverness bus station I was on my way to Skye.
Amazing views of the countryside and hills, particularly through Glen Sheil before crossing the bridge to Skye. The barren hills of Skye looked strange after all the vegetation climbing the hills in New Zealand but the Sligachan campsite apart from being exposed to the easterly wind was good with the Cullin hills in the distance and a good pub to celebrate the start of another Challenge.
