Day seventy five - Gods Bridge to Langdon Beck

14th May.

Another beautiful day, a cold start with a heavy dew. The forecast was giving rain for later but it just held off until I arrived at the hostel.

God's bridge is a natural rock formation over the river
There were no big climbs today but several up and overs and some great views.
Rolling moorland and a little owl that checked me out a couple of times on its patrols.
I reached Middleton in Teesdale at lunch time, the same time as someone who apparently takes his traction engine to the pub on Sunday lunchtimes.

A nice little Café provided lunch before a change of scenery as the way now follows the River Tees.
Foam patterns on the river

Low Force

High Force
The first waterfall, Low Force, is more a set of rapids than a waterfall. High Force is definitely a waterfall.

The sky was getting blacker in the west as I approached Langdon Beck but apart from a few spots held off until I arrived at the hostel.

20 miles walked 800 meters ascent.
