GR 11 Day 42 Albanyà to Camping de Maçanet

16th July

Away at 07.00 to a nice relatively cool morning, the night had been very hot and sticky but I slept well.

Up into the woods

Once again up through the trees, steeply in places but not that high. Steep densely wooded hills all around with a few cliffs here and there.

Plenty of trees

It was good walking, mostly through trees and there were clouds about to take the sting out of the sun.

Sometimes the path went a bit higher

Arrived at the campsite by midday, a bit of a waste of a good walking day but a rest after being cooked for the last couple of days will be good for me.

You would hardly know it's a campsite in the cork trees 

Unfortunately tomorrow looks to be scorchio again.

The swimming pool from outside the bar/restaurant 

A nice little swimming pool and bar/restaurant at the campsite allowed me to wash my shorts, have a swim and drink beer,  the first two at the same time, what more could I want?

You can tell it's getting hotter and drier
