Day sixty four - Frodsham to Knutsford

 3rd May.

A bright sunny morning and it stayed that way all day.

The Cheshire plains
Today's walk was all on part of the North Cheshire Way.
Descended Overton Hill to the Weaver Navigation and then followed it to Northwich.
Dutton Railway Viaduct

Very good land here, there was a lot of silage being cut.

Passed a dredger filling a barge with silt which was being taken down river to empty into a huge sludge storage area.

Lunch at Anderton marina. The NCW then takes off across the fields and through Great Budworth, a very pretty conservation village.

Great Budworth
Onwards to Arley Hall where I met Martin, who had come to collect me and take me to his home for the night.
Very poor picture of Martin.
Crop looks good though!
We walked on, or in Martin's case back, to his car at Knutsford and then to Timperley.

Many thanks to Martin and Sue for feeding and putting up with me.

22 miles walked 200 meters ascent.

It was a pleasure to to meet up with you Roger. We hope you have a good walk to Bollington and that you can find somewhere to stay in or near Edale the following day.
You seem to be going very well. Keep it up!
