Day seventy six - Langdon Beck to Dufton

 15th May.

A beautiful sunny morning but a cold wind.

YHA Langdon Beck
Followed the River Tees to Cauldron Snout, a great walk along the river with some slightly awkward bouldery bits.
A local

The waterfall itself is quite spectacular with a surprising amount of water coming down.

Cauldron Snout
Past the most isolated farm in Britain where I had a discussion with the game keeper.
Birkdale.
On up to High Cup Nick which was beautiful in the sunshine and I stopped for a while to admire the view.
Looking down from High Cup Nick
A long way down to Dufton and I kept thinking that I would have to climb back up tomorrow again!

Dufton is a nice little place with a café but unfortunately the pub doesn't do food on Monday but there is a pizza van that comes on Mondays, the only snag was that he was on holiday!
Had to eat my emergency rations at thew hostel, at least they do breakfast. Quick one in the pub then bed.

13 miles walked 450 meters ascent
