Day thirty six - Carmarthen to St Clears

5th April.

"One misty moisty morning when cloudy was the weather" I walked out of Carmarthen on the Welsh Coast Path.

Footbridge over the Towy at Carmarthen

The weather stayed misty and wet all day but there were signs of spring everywhere, birds singing, trees springing to life and I'm sure I could see the grass growing amongst the mud.

Lifting railway bridge over the Towy

Llansteffan has a village shop/café/pub that provided a lovely cup of tea and a freshly made rock cake as well as a chat with two lovely ladies who were also out for a walk in the rain.

There are a lot of big dairy farms in this area and a lot of big tractors and tankers on the tiny roads.

Followed the lanes and paths to St Clears where I was collected by Andy and whisked off to his house to be fed and watered.

It was rather misty!

18 miles walked 600 meters ascent

Fantastic weather for you, I imagine the flowers on the southern slopes will be starting to bloom.
