1st June.
A bright start to the day but it clouded over, clearing again late afternoon.
Walked to the brewery which was closed at that time of the morning, probably a good thing! And started up the tourist path to
Goat Fell.
The views back to Brodick were spectacular.
There were quite a lot of people heading for the summit which the cloud was just touching.

Everybody else was heading back the way they came but I went down the very steep north ridge and on to Lochranza over a couple more tops on the way.
I can't say much more but will let the pictures do it for me.
Down to to the Arran Distillery, also closed by the time I got there!
And on to the campsite.
A really good day but hard work on the very steep loose paths, not really recommended when carrying a backpack!

What an amazing walk you’re doing. J
An article in today's Guardian describes a walk around Arran. Lefty Liberal/Raging Socialist! (Andy)
