Day 6. Meanach bothy to Uisge Labhair, (Corrour)
It was a beautiful sunny morning again with no wind and no midges so as I was in no hurry today I did a bit of proper camping and sat outside the tent eating porridge and enjoying the sunshine.

Ready to go |
I wrenched my knee a bit yesterday when I slipped, it gave me no trouble at the time but I noticed it a bit today so was quite happy with the short walk.

The Abhainn Rath |
It was beautiful walking down the Abhainn Rath even the boggy bits were nearly dry! there was no wind at all and the temperature climbed rapidly.

Loch Treig |
Loch Treig was like a mirror, no ripples at all, and looked amazing. The climb up the track then path to Corrour station was extremely hot but the thought of the nice resteraunt here kept me going.

Corrour Station |
I spent two hours in the restaurant and managed three pots of tea, spoke to some Challengers, charged up the phone, ate a sandwich and wrote up the blog.

Loch Ossian |
A useful stop, it had also clouded over and there was a breeze from the east so walking out to and along Loch Ossian was much more pleasant.

Track by Loch Ossian |
Loch Ossian has to be one of the most beautiful places in Scotland and apart from a few midges when in the shelter of the trees was a lovely walk.

Looking back to Loch Ossian |
After Corrour Lodge I went up by the Uisg Labhair, first by a new (to me) hydro track to a small dam and then the path.

Camp by the Uisg Labhair |
It looked as though it was thinking of raining as I picked a camp spot by the river (one of many possibilities in this area) but brightened up later and there was a warm sun until it disappeared behind the hill.
