Day nineteen - North Petherton to Langport

An easy day today, I don't need to be in Glastonbury until tomorrow. The weather was excellent, light chilly wind and sunshine, perfect walking weather by the rivers and canals of the Somerset Levels.

The old Northmoor steam pumping station, now a museum, but unfortunately on the wrong side of the river. The new one can pump 30,000 litres of water per second!

Spring is starting to appear, buds are bursting, the willow trees are greening and there is that hopeful feeling in the air (it won't last)

There was plenty of interest along the way including a willow tree with mistletoe growing in it, as well as some old apple trees with loads of it.

I met someone training for a LEGOG walk next month, he is going to do a direct route so we may meetup somewhere?

Also a good pub at lunchtime. I arrived just before the Mother's Day rush

A lovely day

14 miles walked 100 meters ascent
