10th March.
A different sort of day today, trees, windy and cold.
Brown Willie on the right |
Once clear of the trees it was hat, gloves, etc and across the moor. The track was fine while it lasted but once off, it was like walking on a sponge. Up to Brown Willie, soggy feet, freezing wind and a quick turnaround.
Brown Willie from Rough Tor |
Over Rough Tor and down more spongy ground to the road and Camelford for lunch.
Different walking in the afternoon on country lanes and footpaths, problems with clay again especially where cattle had destroyed the path, then on to legendary Tintagel.
A new bridge for King Arthur to cross to his castle |
21 miles walked 850 meters ascent
