Day eight - Newquay to Trevone

 18th March.

I must recommend the Minerva Guest House in Newquay, can't say much about the rest of the town.

Still waiting for the bad weather! Today was a bit wet and very windy in the morning but warm, 12 degrees. The snow forecast has gone as well. I had forgotten the effect of wet clay on shoes but remembered as l slithered along paths that had been soaked by the heavy overnight rain.
Newtrain Bay
Booked into the pub at Trevone for tonight, all this decadent behaviour is due to looking at the weather forecast, that's my excuse anyway. It's cheap but it would be rude not to have a beer, or two, which rather spoils the bill.

17 miles walked 650 meters ascent.

Look on the beer as easily transported liquid fuel that fits in around the solid stuff with no awkward edges or gaps. Andy
