9th May
Left the Hotel in my shorts in pouring rain, I did have my over-trousers on!

Flowers in the rain |
The rain eased as the morning progressed and by the time I reached Tarbet it had stopped.

Loch Morar in the rain |
A steep climb up into the cloud to the North Morar Ridge, this isn't a ridge in the normal sense but an area of confusing tops and gullies glimpsed in the cloud.

Tarbet |
The rocks and pools mean it's impossible to walk in a straight line which all adds up to an interesting navigational puzzle.

A similar 'ridge' picture taken next day |
Just when the ridge was becoming more like a ridge the cloud started to thin and after descending to Kinlochmorar which was very steep and cliffy, more interesting route finding, the clouds lifted off the tops.

The way down is behind the tent |
A good camp, no wind, no midges and no condensation.
14 miles walked 1200 meters ascent.
