Day 47, Enforced rest day at Tongariro Holiday Park (1134)

Raining today, heavy at times in the morning, which no doubt was a big help to the firefighters.

The road was closed to all traffic as well as the mountains so it would have been possible to get out in the wrong direction but I decided to stay at the holiday park for the day and, hopefully, walk down the road to Waimarino tomorrow. 

Everyone else agreed so we spent the day doing nothing except eating playing cards and pool.
