Left home in sunshine but by the time I got to Morar it was decidedly wet. Tempted to try the hotel for a room but I knew it was too expensive so walked down the road a bit to find somewhere to pitch before going back for a pre-walk meal with beer.

In the hotel I met Hugh Stuart, another Challenger, who was actually starting from Mallaig but due to an accomodation mix up had been forced to find somewhere else to stay. The closest was Morar and as he had three beds in his room he invited me to use one of them. Thanks Hugh!
A nice dry night before a very wet start.
