Ingleby Cross to Kildale

10th September

A much wilder day today, yesterday would be classified as pretty.

A bright windless morning with a heavy dew and associated condensation.

Away early to climb back up the Cleveland hills and try to avoid the heat, partially successful.

Friendly coos
It was a lovely walk, slightly reminiscent of a coast walk without the sea! Lots of ups and downs over the tops.

The only problem was the complete lack of cafés, water was also in short supply. There were some great views to sustain the soul but again rather hazy.
The forecast thunderstorms didn't arrive until after I got the tent pitched, but the air felt humid enough to squeeze the water out.

Red grouse showing off (too hot to fly)

A nice little campsite at Kildale but rather sloping, hope I don't slide out of the tent!

18.5 miles walked
1100 meters ascent
